Vusal Gasimli, doctor of philosophy in economics and leading research fellow for the Centre for Strategic Stus undieder the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan posted his most recent article on the popular Turkish Weekly's website, a spokesman for the centre told Trend on Monday.
Entitled 'Non-Oil Exports: A Powerful Driver of the Diversification of the Azerbaijani Economy', the article presents a list of products upon which Azerbaijan has export potential.
The author explores the possibilities for gaining niches in the international markets and stresses the importance of the non-oil export diversification in terms of the country's geography.
In addition the article also covers a raft of public policies aimed at increasing the volume of exports such as consultancy, technical assistance, business conferences and promotions.
Dr. Gasimli also considers it might be possible to attract export oriented foreign investments directly into the country to help increase Azerbaijan's non-oil export of Azerbaijan.
