Azerbaijan, Baku, Feb. 16 / Trend M. Aliyev /

The law on 'Legal entities' bringing to criminal liability' is expected to be adopted either this year, or in 2013, head of the anti-corruption department under the General Prosecutor, Kamran Aliyev told Trend.

He said that sometimes it is impossible to prove guilt with an official. He said:" After the law is adopted, the organisation as a legal body will become responsible."

He said that the new law must be applied in a manner corresponding to the legal system. At present discussions aimed at improving the efficiency of its use are being held. The matter rests in the fact that this law did not bring enough benefit in some CIS countries.

"For example, the law was adopted in Georgia several years ago, but no legal body has been brought to a criminal court."

The bill on 'Legal entities' bringing to the criminal liability' has been submitted to the Azerbaijani Parliament, head of department on work with law-enforcement agencies of the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration Fuad Alasgarov said on Wednesday.

"This law was adopted by all European countries," he said. "Some post-Soviet countries are preparing to adopt it. In particular, the Baltic countries Moldova, Georgia, Kazakhstan and Russia are examining it."
