Ruling party: Hopeful Azerbaijani people support Ilham Aliyev’s candidacy

Deputy Chairman and Executive Secretary of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party Ali Ahmadov today met with the chairmen of the primary territorial party organizations in the ruling party of the Narimanov district of Baku.
Speaking at the meeting which is to prepare for the upcoming presidential elections, Ahmadov spoke about Azerbaijan's political and economic achievements during the past ten years.
Today's meeting is intended to contribute to the campaign in terms of high activity, Ahmadov said.
He emphasized that the observations show that the majority of Azerbaijani voters support Ilham Aliyev's candidacy.
"It is well-founded support because Ilham Aliyev has done much for Azerbaijan's political and economic development. He has strengthened the position of Azerbaijan in the international arena during the past 10 years," he said. "The welfare of the Azerbaijani people has been improved. We observe these changes. Today Azerbaijani citizens are living at a new, higher standard of living."
Earlier, people were only thinking about how to live in Azerbaijan, but now they are thinking about improving their life, he said.
"This means that people's lives are changed for the better," he added. "The current government has created all the conditions for a good and decent life of citizens. This is the success of President Aliyev's policy."
"On the other hand, Azerbaijan is being modernized and a policy of modernization is being conducted, Ahmadov said. "Stability and peace are the most important elements of modern life."
"Stability and tranquillity, ensured for all in Azerbaijan, are the most important values of Azerbaijani current realities," he said. "The vast majority of Azerbaijani citizens support Ilham Aliyev's candidacy. People believe that Azerbaijan will become more developed under the leadership of Ilham Aliyev during the next five years. They support the president's candidacy."
Each member of the party has a very big responsibility during the upcoming presidential elections, he added.
