Baku, Azerbaijan, Aug. 24
By Elchin Mehdiyev - Trend:
The members of the New Azerbaijan ruling party must use all opportunities and demonstrate a principled position in the upcoming parliamentary election, Ali Ahmadov, Deputy Chairman and Executive Secretary of the New Azerbaijan ruling party, Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, said August 24.
Ahmadov made this statement at a meeting of the central election staff of the ruling party in Ganja held in connection with the preparation for the forthcoming parliamentary election.
"The members of the ruling party, in particular, must thoroughly control the fulfillment of orders during the agitation campaign, contribute to free, transparent and democratic holding of election," he said.
Ahmadov said that the ruling party is thoroughly preparing for the upcoming parliamentary election, as during the previous election. The branches of the central election staff of the ruling party were established in the district and city organizations. The party activists were involved in the preparation for the election.
He expressed confidence that the ruling party will win the current parliamentary election.
"Strengthening of the political and economic positions by independent Azerbaijan in the international arena, the decisions and resolutions supporting Azerbaijan's position taken by the world's influential organizations, clearly confirm that Azerbaijan has chosen the correct way," he said. "This way leads the country to a successful future."
"The result of the country's successful socio-economic policy is that the international community approves Azerbaijan's model of development and stresses the importance of its study," he said. "Azerbaijan's economy has quadrupled over the past 10 years. Of course, this index is based on strong policy. The standard of living of the population is increasing every day. But the most important thing is that the socio-political stability in Azerbaijan is constant."
Mubariz Gurbanli, Deputy Executive Secretary of the ruling party and Eldar Ibrahimov, chairman of the parliamentary committee on agrarian policy, attended the meeting.
The parliamentary election in Azerbaijan is scheduled for November 2015.
