Cooperation between the Council of Europe and Azerbaijan is going very good, President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Pedro Agramunt told journalists on Feb. 29.
He also said that there is no problem between the sides.
PACE president Pedro Agramunt has arrived in Azerbaijan on Feb. 29.
During the visit Agramunt plans to meet with the Speaker of the Milli Mejlis [Azerbaijani parliament] Ogtay Asadov and Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov, as well as hold a number of other high-level meetings, during which the extension of bilateral relations of the parties will be discussed.
Agramunt was elected as PACE president at the organization's winter session started in Strasbourg Jan. 25.
In 2010-2015, Agramunt worked as a co-rapporteur of PACE for Azerbaijan.
He replaced Anne Brasseur on this post.
