“AZERI-GEORGIAN RELATIONS ARE NOT IN DANGER,” GEORGIAN MP KOTE GABASHVILI

(Prime-News) вЂ" “The Azerbaijani-Georgian strategic partnership relations are not in danger, as the authorities of the two countries able to prevent any provocation,” Kote Gabashvili, the chairman of the parliamentary committee on foreign relations, said.

It was a comment by Kote Gabashvili on media report on resettlement threatening the Azerbaijanis living in Georgia.

According to Gabashvilli, any attempt to start provocation campaign against partnership relations between the two countries, implementing by the Russian special services permanently, will be prevent by the Georgian and Azerbaijani Presidents.

“Neither Georgia nor Azerbaijan is interested in the worsening of the strategic relations” the MP noted.

“There is a real threat of resettlement of Azerbaijanis from Georgia,” Nazim Ibrahimov, the chairman of the State Committee on Azerbaijanis Living Abroad, said to a news conference on 1 September.

He accused the authorities of the country of ignoring national interests of minorities.

According to Ibrahimov, there are serious problems in the land, education and integration of Azerbaijanis into the Georgian society.

“Azerbaijanis are not practically represented in the Georgian execution, legislation and court systems,” he added.
