“An act on pardoning is not expected on the holidays Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis (31 December) and New Year,” MP Vagif Samadoglu, a member of the Commission on pardoning under the President, told Trend.

Samadoglu said that the next sitting of the Commission on pardoning was held on Thursday. “The President is not expected to sign any act on pardoning due to the great number of the addresses and lack of time for their consideration,” the MP stressed. According to Samadoglu, the President usually signs the act on pardoning on one of the memorable days. “The President is possible to take this step during the holidays Ramadan and Gurban [holy holiday of Moslems],” he added.
