It is still unknown what can be an influence from the elections to the Congress that was held in US on American-Azerbaijan relations, Jonathan Hannick, Chief of the Press-Service of US Embassy to Azerbaijan, told Trend today.
According to him, it is difficult to say anything concrete since newly-elected Congressmen have not begun their work yet, as well as to say anything about the future foreign policy of the Congress. But, I can say that on the whole, the President forms the foreign policy in the American system. Sure, the Congress has its influence on it, but it is restricted one, said Mr. Hannick.
