New director general of Georgia Poti port appointed

A new director general of the Poti international sea port on the Georgian Black Sea coast has been appointed. His name is Joseph Faoli, the Public Relations Department said. Moreover, the general manager on operational issues has been also changed.

"The company has no plans about cuts and rearrangements," the service said. "It is planned to make new investments to re-equip the port."

Arab company RAK sells 80 percent stake to the Danish APM terminals on the basis of bilateral agreement, which is a subsidiary of "Maersk". The sum of the transaction was not disclosed.

There are 15 berths in the Poti port.
