Head of Azerbaijan Railways JSC Arif Askerov signed an order on modernization in all spheres of railway transport, the JSC press service head Nader Azmammadov said on Tuesday.
The order reads that under the State railway system development program in Azerbaijan in 2010-2014, the JSC is currently working on updating the train and locomotive fleet, began work on the reconstruction of the Baku - Boyuk Kesik railway in length of 317 kilometers, etc.
Under the order, the JSC has established a special commission headed by the deputy chairman of JSC Gurban Nazirov to determine the scope of work.
The commission is preparing an action plan within the program.
