The Association of Joint-Stock Companies on the Maintenance of Agricultural Equipment, Turkmenobahyzmat (Turkmenagroservis) will conclude several self-funded contracts, Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said on Tuesday.
According to the document, Umax Trade GmbH (Federal Republic of Germany) will supply spare parts, tyres and lubricants for U.S brand Tucano combines. IP Consult (International) Ltd. (Cyprus) will supply similar materials for combines of the American made Case, New Holland and British manufactured John Deere.
This will serve to successfully implement fundamental reforms in the agricultural sector of the country and further increase efficiency of agricultural producers to obtain high yields.
This year it is planned to keep 1.600 million tons of wheat in the country's granaries. In 2012, Turkmenistan prepared over 1.200 million tons of wheat. In 2011, despite a drought year, the country harvested more than 1.3 million tons.
The Turkmen Grain Association Turkmengallaonumleri allowed the selling of a surplus harvest volume that exceeded domestic demand, on the foreign markets.
