An open contest for the development of solid minerals will be declared in Kazakhstan in the near future, the Chairman of the Committee of Geology and Subsoil Use of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies Bazarbai Nurabaev told journalists on Tuesday.
"A contest for the development of solid minerals will be announced in Kazakhstan in the near future. The contest will be open," Nurabaev said.
According to him, the analysis of all new sites has been completed.
"The list of new reserve lands is submitted to the Ministry. First decision on them is at the stage of signing," he said.
Nurabaev noted that the contests for hydrocarbon sites will be announced soon.
In early 2013, the President of Kazakhstan instructed to lift the moratorium on the development of solid minerals.
