Goygol Sharab OJSC, a producer of alcoholic beverages and drinking water in Azerbaijan, plans to enter the markets of China, Latvia, Belarus and Ukraine, Chairman of Goygol Sharab OJSC Supervisory Board Mammad Akhundov said on the sidelines of WorldFood Azerbaijan 2018 in Baku on May 16.

He said that today, the company's only export market is Russian.

"Previously, the "Magnit" retail network was our partner in Russia. However, we did not agree on some issues, so the operation was halted. Now, we are negotiating with three new Russian partners, as well as companies from China. In addition, samples of our products were sent to Azerbaijan Trade Houses in Minsk, Riga and Kiev," Akhundov said.

He said that the company plans to increase production.

"To this end, we began reconstruction work at our plant, which is expected to be completed in three months, " he said.

The Goygol Wine Plant was founded in 1860. Goygol Sharab OJSC is the legal successor of this enterprise. Last year, the company produced more than 16 million bottles, while in 2016 this figure was 15 million bottles.
