Turkey partially switching to new base stations of cellular communication

Turkey is partially switching to the ULAK base stations of cellular communication, developed in the country, the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications of Turkey told Trend May 16.

The ministry also announced that the first ULAK base stations will be put into operation tomorrow, May 17, in the province of Kars in the northeast of the country.

The ministry also stated that in August the ULAK base stations will operate throughout the country.

Development of the ULAK base stations was launched on Feb. 15, 2013.

The ULAK base stations support 4.5G networks.
