It is expected that the enterprise will be able to perform a full cycle of work for construction of ships and vessels for various purposes: tankers, dry cargo ships, tow-boats, oil and gas platforms (self-elevating jack up-platforms), etc.

"The modern software of production lines will allow for launching from stocks of the shipyard from four to six large vessels in a year, and also to repair of 20-30 ships per year", "Neutral Turkmenistan" newspaper wrote earlier.

The factory has been designed according to the requirements of the international standard of IACS – International Association of Classification Societies.

With its commissioning, great opportunities opened for sending goods arriving in Turkmenbashi through the route of the "Silk Road" from Asia and the Pacific region, further to European countries through the ports of Russia, Azerbaijan and Iran. The annual capacity of the port will be 17-18 million tons. Together with the previously operating port, this figure makes up 25-26 million tons.
