Iran’s exports of mineral products witnessed a 9.5 percent growth in the first half of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21), a report said.
Around $5.1 billion worth of mineral products were exported in the first six months of this year, the official website of Iranian Mines & Mining Industries Development & Renovation (IMIDRO) reported on October 15.
Iran’s exports of steel and copper saw 20 percent and 33 percent rise, respectively, during the period.
As much as $315 million worth of bags of cement were also exported in six months, marking a 3 percent growth compared to the same period last year.
Iran’s exports in terms of tonnage, however, declined by 9.6 percent in the period, the report added.
