Iranian flag carrier Iran Air will buy 28 aircrafts. The decision was made at the meeting of the Economic Council led by First Vice President of Iran Eshaq Jahangiri, Trend reports referring to the website of the Iranian presidential administration (president.ir).
According to the decision, Iran Air will use domestic reserves for the purchase of 20 new ATRs, along with 3 new Airbuses and 5 used Airbuses.
A decision was also made during the meeting of the council for preserving and increasing the production of currently operational oil fields.
Decisions were also made for buying electricity from companies with a guarantee, investing in water supply projects for some cities of Khuzestan Province, and the purchase of agricultural products with a guarantee.
The meeting of the Economic Council of Iran was attended by the Minister of Energy, the Minister of Oil, the Minister of Agriculture Jihad, the Minister of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare, the chairman of the Plan and Budget Organization of Iran and the deputy president on science and technology.
