By Matanat Nasibova - Trend:

Crispa Snacks, an Azerbaijani company producing apple chips, plans to start supplying its products abroad in the nearest months, a source in the company told Trend.

The exports to the Georgian market are expected this autumn, according to the source.

“We plan small deliveries to the neighboring market, and by the end of the year we want to expand the geography of exports in the European direction,” the source said. “We are negotiating in all these areas. Presumably, exports to the neighboring markets won’t exceed 10-15 tons. At the same time, exports to Europe will be several times more.”

The source noted that French varieties of green and red apples, which are grown in Gusar district of Azerbaijan, are used in the production of dried apple chips.

“We produce dried apple chips from apples of the Royal Gala and Granny Smith varieties without GMO," the source said. “Three apples are used for the production of one package of finished product. The retail price of one package is 1.5-1.8 manats.”

Crispa Snacks has been operating in the Azerbaijani market since 2018.
