Baki Insaat Senaye OJSC, the biggest industrial enterprise in Azerbaijan, plans to increase the production of metal profiles, as well as building fittings that are used in the construction sector, Head of the company’s marketing department Yunis Mehdiyev told Trend.
Mehdiyev noted that the volume of production of metal profiles per month is 8,000 tons.
“Until the end of this year, we plan to bring monthly production to 10,000 tons,” the department head added. “Products are in great demand in the domestic market, as indicated by stable sales volumes. The products aren’t exported due to lack of the demand abroad. The factory only exports construction fittings, steel squares and channels to neighboring Georgia. The volume of export to this market doesn’t exceed 3,000 tons, but the demand for these types of products is increasing.”
Mehdiyev noted that the company is working on new export directions, in particular, the markets of Central Asia.
“In the medium term, we plan to establish supplies to Kazakhstan,” Mehdiyev said.
