The leadership in the production of cars in Uzbekistan from January through November 2019 belongs to Chevrolet Nexia and Chevrolet Cobalt, Trend reports citing Uzbekistan’s State Statistics Committee.
Official statistics recorded that in the automotive industry from January through November 2019, 70,222 Chevrolet Nexia cars were produced (growth rates compared to the same period last year amounted to 139.4 percent) and 51,918 Chevrolet Cobalt cars (170.7 percent). Then comes “Damas” – 47,940 (156.1 percent), “Ravon Gentra” – 40,392 (149 percent), Chevrolet Spark – 22,780 (99.1 percent), “Ravon Tracker” – 7,603, “Ravon Labo” –6,551 (97 percent) and Chevrolet Malibu - 5,889 (146.7 percent).
For eleven months, manufacturing of passenger cars grew by almost 40 percent compared with the corresponding period of the previous year. From January through November 2019, 253,421 cars were manufactured (in 2018 – 181,327).
The production of trucks increased 1.3 times, buses - 2.1 times, running wheels, their parts and accessories - 1.3 times, radiators, mufflers and exhaust pipes, clutches , steering wheels, steering columns, crankcase steering mechanisms and their parts - 1.5 times.
The State Statistics Committee’s information provides a breakdown of the headings. From January through November 2019, 1,512 buses were produced in Uzbekistan (an increase of 2.1 times compared to the corresponding period last year), while the largest volume of their production was recorded in March of this year, amounting to 204 units.
Over the eleven months of this year, 186,400 automobile engines were produced in Uzbekistan (137.3 percent), while the largest volume of their production was recorded in October this year – 25,100.
From January through November 2019, 5,056 trucks were produced (133.5 percent), while the largest volume of their production was recorded in November of this year, amounting to 616 vehicles.
