Goycay-Sud plant, a big producer of dairy products located in Azerbaijan’s Goychay district, will open a new production line till the end of this month, a source in the plant told Trend.
“The matter rests in the production of cheese,” the source said.
“A new cheese production workshop will start to operate at the plant till the end of this year,” the source said. “Last year, the plant acquired expensive modern equipment that will be installed at the plant during the next three weeks. We expect that the production line of cheese will expand after the launch of the new workshop. This issue is being worked out by technologists of the plant.”
“After the commissioning of a new workshop, the plant intends to focus on the production of new types of cheese,” the source said. “All products are designed for sale in the domestic market. But the products are expected to be exported to the foreign markets in the medium term. Currently, all products of the plant are sold in Baku and other cities of the country."
Three types of cheese are being produced, but after the launch of a new production line, this figure will double.
At the same time, over 200 tons of cheese were produced at the plant in 2019.
The plant operates at full capacity and has been provided with modern Swedish and Italian equipment.
The plant’s products have a certificate of conformity issued by the Azerbaijani State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents.
