Iran announces export of products via Sistan and Baluchestan Province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 18

Products worth about $989.3 million were exported via Border markets and customs of Sistan and Baluchestan province in southeastern Iran during 11 months of current Iranian year (March 21, 2019 - February 19, 2020), said head of the Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of the province Mahmoud Reza Rahmatian. Trend reports citing official website of Organization.

According to Rahmatian, $260.7 million via the customs of the province and $728.6 million was exported via border markets.

Rahmatian added that the main export items were construction materials (cement), fruit and vegetables, peas, palm, sulfur, bitumen, ceramics and others.

"These products were mainly exported to Pakistan, Afghanistan, Turkey, Kuwait, UAE and other countries," he said

The official said that goods worth some $803 million was planned to be exported through the province this year. It shows that exports exceed 23 percent of the plan.
