As many as 490 small mines were surveyed in 31 provinces of Iran and 9 mines were restored during the three months of the current Iranian year (March 20-June 20, 2020), Trend reports referring to the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
According to the report, 2,620 mines were surveyed from the beginning of last Iranian year (March 21, 2019) to the end of the third month of current Iranian year and the exploration of 1,053 mines has been completed.
"During this period, it was decided to take necessary steps on 155 mines and 41 mines were commissioned," the report said.
According to the report, 1,020 out of 2,130 mines were surveyed in 31 provinces of Iran in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020) and it was decided to take steps on 146 mines.
IMIDRO has been on the agenda to activate and develop small mines in order to increase the production of minerals since last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020).
