The licenses have been issued for the commissioning of 3 mines in the Ilam Province (western Iran) from the beginning the current Iranian year (March 20, 2020) to date (September 8), Chairman of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Ilam Province, Nabi Samavati said, Trend reports citing the organization’s portal.
According to the Samavati, in addition, 17 mines have been licensed to extend their service life.
Samavati added that at the same time, the licenses were issued for the discovery of 4 mines.
"Currently, there are 53 mines operating in Iran's Ilam Province. As many as 606 people are employed in these mines,” he said.
The chairman emphasized that there are 12 mining materials in Iran's Ilam Province. These include bitumen, gypsum, aluminum, calcite, silicon, marble, and salt.
