Georgian bonds show best results after Ukraine in October

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Nov. 4

By Tamilla Mammadova – Trend:

Georgian bonds yielded one of the best results after Ukraine in October, said Ana Nachkebia, Senior Research Analyst at Galt & Taggart, Trend reports via Georgian media.

"We explain this for several reasons. The fact that interest rates in the US hit record low has an impact on our region as well," she added.

According to Nachkebia, investors are very interested in Georgian bonds and current processes in developed countries have an impact on the bond markets.

“As of the IMF review, current fiscal and monetary policies in developed countries, which create excess liquidity, has an impact on both for the capital and bond markets," Nachkebia said.

As she noted, the number of empirical studies is growing, which proves that the impact of monetary and fiscal policies of developed countries has a quite large influence on merging countries.
