Kazakhstan reports annual output increase in metallurgy

The output in Kazakhstan’s processing industry has increased in 2020 as compared to 2019, the increase was observed in all sectors of the industry, Trend reports citing Kazakhstan’s Ministry of industry and Infrastructural Development.

The output volume in the metallurgy increased by 2.6 percent year-on-year. For example, production in non-ferrous metallurgy increased by 2.8 percent. The largest copper producer in Kazakhstan - Kazakhmys Corporation - has increased the volume of refined copper output by 5 percent, gold bullions by 35 percent, and silver in granules by 17 percent.

Kazakhstan Electrolysis Plant has also increased the production of primary aluminum, Tau-Ken Altyn increased the production of refined gold by 4 percent, of refined silver by 46.7 percent.

Tau-Ken Altyn has confirmed the highest quality of its products and received worldwide recognition as a reliable supplier. The refinery, which produces gold with a purity of at least 99.99 percent, has received the ‘GoodDelivery’ certificate of the London Precious Metals Association. Precious metals that have this certificate are accepted for trading on all world exchanges without restrictions.

The output increase in ferrous metallurgy was 4.1 percent. Thus, the Kostanay-based Evraz Caspian Steel plant increased the production of reinforcing bars by 7 percent. Reinforcing bars are produced in accordance with state standards. The quality of products is ensured by the latest equipment and control in the testing laboratory of the plant.

The Taraz Metallurgical Plant increased the production of ferrosilicon manganese by 27 percent, Casting LLP increased the output of square billets, fittings, balls, and round timber by 4.2 percent.
