Turkmenistan increases import of flour from EAEU

Wheat flour exports from the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) to Turkmenistan increased by 7.8 percent from January through November 2020 compared to the same indicator a year earlier, Trend reports, citing statistics from the Eurasian Economic Commission.

More than 33,516 tons of wheat flour from Kazakhstan and Russia were exported to Turkmenistan for a total amount of more than $11.2 million in the reporting period. This is 24.1 percent more than the amount of wheat flour exports for the same period in 2019.

At the same time, the share of Kazakhstan in the above-mentioned amount was $9.4 million, Russia's - $1.8 million.

According to statistics, the export of grain flour from Russia to Turkmenistan amounted to more than $263.9 tons for a total amount of $87,861.

The export of processed cereals from Kazakhstan and Russia to Turkmenistan amounted to 8,674 tons for a total amount of $2.7 million.

The share of Kazakhstan in the amount of grain exports amounted to $1.5 million, Russia - $1.1 million.

As reported, from January through October 2020, the export of wheat flour from the countries of the EAEU to Turkmenistan increased by 15.6 percent compared to the same indicator of the previous year.

For 10 months of 2020, Turkmenistan exported more than 31,000 tons of wheat flour from Kazakhstan and Russia for a total amount of more than $10.4 million. This is 35.6 percent more than the amount of wheat flour exports for the same period in 2019.
