Turkmenistan is developing an electronic trading platform, Trend reports, citing the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

An electronic database is currently being developed, which provides for the placement of relevant information about textile brands, marketing services, including the execution of orders in electronic format for the purchase of various textile products produced in the country, and others.

Initially, the products will be delivered in the country, and then exported abroad.

It is planned to establish interaction with global virtual trading platforms and with domestic information and service resources and trading platforms in the future.

Turkmenistan currently exports more than 70 percent of textile products to foreign markets.

One of the textile exporters in Turkmenistan is the Ashgabat Textile Complex, which provides the country's domestic markets with textile products, producing a variety of export-oriented goods.

Turkmenistan's textile products are exported to more than 30 countries, including developed countries such as the US, Great Britain, France, Germany, and Switzerland.

Turkmenistan annually grows more than one million tons of cotton, which serves as a raw material base for the development of the textile industry.

A significant part of Turkmenistan's products exported abroad is home textiles, sports, and denim clothing. The textile industry of Turkmenistan includes more than 70 textile and clothing enterprises.
