The turnover of the catering sector in Baku decreased by 38.5 percent in real terms from January through April 2021, compared to the same period of 2020, and amounted to 129.5 million manat ($76.1 million), Trend reports referring to the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan.
Reportedly, the turnover of legal entities in this sphere dropped by 27.8 percent on annual basis and settled at 90.4 million manat ($53.1 million).
In 2020, the turnover of the catering sector in Baku decreased by 59.4 percent in real terms compared to 2019 and amounted to 476.2 million manat ($280.1 million). At the same time, 55.5 percent of the turnover in the public catering sector in the private sector accounted for legal entities, 44.5 percent - for individual entrepreneurs.
The turnover of legal entities in 2020 declined by 45 percent compared to 2019 and amounted to 266.9 million manat ($157 million).
