Azerbaijan’s export of products has increased in value from January through August 2021, Trend reports on Sept.20 citing the report of the State Customs Committee.
According to the committee, this figure amounted to $12.9 billion, which is $3 billion or 30.9 percent more compared to the first eight months of 2020 ($9.8 billion).
Reportedly, the share of the public sector in exports of the country amounted to 51.73 percent of its total volume ($6.69 billion against $4.8 billion a year earlier), and the private sector – 47.64 percent ($6.16 billion against nearly $5 billion from January through August 2020).
The share of products of individuals in exports amounted to 0.63 percent ($82.2 million compared to $38.5 million in the first eight months of last year), said the report.
During the specified period, Azerbaijan conducted foreign trade operations with 180 countries. Some 45,040 entities, including 37,410 individuals and 7,630 legal entities took part in the operations.
