BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 25. The share of the private sector in the entrepreneurship sphere in Azerbaijan is 84 percent, President of the Azerbaijani National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations Mammad Musayev said, Trend reports.
Musayev made the remark at the "Role of entrepreneurship in economic development" conference dedicated to the Day of Businessman on April 25 in Baku.
According to Musayev, the exhibition dedicated to the Day of Businessman in Azerbaijan organized in Icheri Sheher [the historical core of Baku] can be considered one of the largest in the post-COVID-19-pandemic period.
"Businessmen from not only Azerbaijan but also from Ukraine, Belarus and some other countries are taking part in the exhibition," he noted.
The confederation’s head also noted that Azerbaijan is actively promoting its products abroad.
"Our country is known in the world as an exporter of oil. However, recently Azerbaijan has been actively promoting the export of non-oil products, and we are witnessing rapid growth in exports of these products," added Musayev.
