TEHRAN, Iran, June 14. Iran Agriculture Ministry is to increase wheat production via dry farming to more than 3.5 million tons, said the head of Dryland Agricultural Research Institute Mozafar Rostaie, Trend reports citing IRNA.
He pointed out that the country is predicted to have an optimal wheat harvest in the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2022) via dry land farming.
Rostaie went on to say that the Agriculture Ministry has planned to increase barley cultivation to 2.5 million tons in 1.4 million hectares area.
According to the official, the ministry will increase the technical projects to increase wheat production.
