At the end of November the German Government will send a consultant to Azerbaijan under the technical assistance to sanitary and phyto-sanitary norms in Azerbaijan. The Government informed Trend regarding the technical assistance they propose to adapt the exiting system in the country under the requirements of the Agreement of the World Trade Organization on sanitary and phyto-sanitary norms. At the expense of technical assistance it is planned to improve legislation and hold trainings.
The beneficiaries of technical assistance are the Agriculture Ministry, the Heath Ministry and the State Agency for Standardization, Metrology and Patent.
For the first time the amount of the grant will not be coordinated with the German government, which has received only a list of measures, but is charged in covering expenses for consultants.
