WCO Secretary General to Arrive in Baku

An International Conference on Counteracting the Illegal Turnover of Medicines is expected to be held in Baku between February 8th and 9th. Trend has been told by the State Customs Committee. The forthcoming meeting will be organized with the support of the World Heath Organization.

The State Committee said that Michelle Daneau; the Secretary General of the World Customs Organization (WCO), Khurshid Anvar; the Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), Michael Caplinger; the Vice-Chairman of the International Intellectual Property Organization and Nata Menabde; the Deputy Chief of the European Regional Bureau of the World Health Organization will participate in the forthcoming event.

Some 100 foreign representatives have been invited to take part in the forthcoming seminar. During the meeting, issues connected with counteracting the illegal turnover and sale of medicines and expanding co-operation will be studied.

The world's largest pharmaceutical producers will sponsor the forthcoming event
