Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend A.Badalova / The Turkish Standards Institution plans to hold audit in Ecology Department of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) of Azerbaijan, a source stated in the Company. Talks are held with the European quality organization for receiving an auditor certificate.
Receiving the certificate will enable to verify the conformity in the activities of local and foreign organizations involved in exploration, production and processing of hydrocarbons with the requirements of ISO 14001 (Ecology Management System).
In November 2006, the Department commenced cooperation with the Turkish Standards Institution in order to set up an efficient system on managing and educating the employees. The Organization of International Standards issued ISO 14001 and 9001 certificates to the Department. Moreover, the Department carried out the work targeted to provide normal working conditions and safety.
