Turkmenistan set to attract foreign investors into oil & gas industry
BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 5
It is necessary to intensify work on attracting foreign investors to the oil and gas sector of Turkmenistan, Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said.
Berdimuhamedov made the remark at a working session held with participation of his adviser on oil and gas affairs Yagshigeldy Kakaev and Chairman of the Turkmengas State Concern Myrat Archaev, Trend reports via the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
In this context, corresponding work has to be carried to improve the attractiveness of the opportunity to participate in the development of oil and gas resources of the Caspian Sea's Turkmen section for foreign investors, the country's president noted.
During international conferences and business forums, it is necessary to fully disclose capabilities for attraction of foreign investments to oil and gas industry, development of international partnership, he continued.
"It is necessary to offer economically beneficial projects, including construction of new gas chemical complexes breaking them into stages," the president said.
Currently, the country's task in the fuel and energy sphere is the implementation of advanced practice, innovative methods, improvement of its export potential in all segments of the industry. The work carried out in this direction should become the main driving force of the entire development, Berdimuhamedov concluded.
