Tehran Oil Refining Company will increase the potential of gasoline production to 8.5 million liters per day, Executive Director of Tehran oil Refining Company Hamid Armanfar said at a press conference, Trend reports citing IRNA.
The director stressed that the company currently produces 7 million liters of gasoline per day.
“The increase will be achieved through the commissioning of the naphtha catalyst unit, and the quality of gasoline produced will be upgraded to the euro 5 standard,” he added.
Armanfar noted that Tehran Oil Refining Company currently produces 53,500 barrels of diesel (about 8.5 million liters) per day in compliance with the Euro 4 and Euro 5 standards.
According to him, at present, 230,000 barrels of crude oil and gas condensate are transported daily to the company.
“To date, 44 trillion rials [about $1.04 billion] have been invested in the company. With an investment increase of 31 trillion rials [about $738 million], the total amount of funds will reach 75 trillion rials [about $1.78 billion],” he said.
