The Shahid Rajaee Thermal Power Plant in the Qazvin Province (northern Iran) generated more than 1.84 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity during the first two months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through May 21, 2021), Trend reports citing Ministry of Energy of Iran.
According to the report, 966 million kilowatt-hours of electricity were generated by combined cycle units and 876 million kilowatt-hours – by steam units.
"Electricity generation of Shahid Rajaee TPP increased by about 6 percent within the mentioned period, compared to the same period last Iranian year," the report said.
As reported, the Shahid Rajaee Thermal Power Plant has 13 units. Four of them are steam units each generation capacity of 250 megawatt-hours, and the rest are combined cycle units. In total, the TPP can generate 2,040 megawatts of electricity.
