BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 23. Iran’s Bandar Abbas Thermal Power Plant in the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) generated about 4.07 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2022), Head of the Bandar Abbas TPP, Dariush Mahmoudi said, Trend reports citing Iranian Energy Ministry.
The official noted that of the mentioned volume, about 4.01 billion kilowatt-hours were generated by steam units, while 57.9 million kilowatt-hours - by gas units.
Mahmoudi also added that the power plant generated about 386 million kilowatt-hours of electricity in the 8th month (October 23 through November 21, 2022) alone.
The Bandar Abbas TPP is one of the main thermal power plants in Iran. The power generation capacity of this power plant is 1,330 megawatt-hours. The power plant has 4 steam units, with each unit's generation capacity of 320-megawatt hours, and 2 gas units, with a generation capacity of 25 megawatt-hours each.
