Iran’s South Pars Gas Company issues data on annual gas condensate, sulfur production

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 24. Iran’s South Pars Gas Company (SPGC) produced more than 252 million barrels of gas condensate, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), Executive Director of the SPGC, Ahmad Bahush said, Trend reports citing the company’s website.

“In addition, the company produced more than 527,000 tons of sulfur within the last Iranian year,” Bahush noted.

The director also added that the company's various hydrocarbons production is expected to increase for the current Iranian year (March 21, 2023 through March 19, 2024).

He emphasized that carrying out repair work in the company's refineries, using internal quality supplies and equipment will create an opportunity for growth in production.

Meanwhile, Iran’s South Pars Gas Company (SPGC) produced 221 billion cubic meters of natural gas over the last Iranian year.

Iran’s South Pars Gas Company processes rich gas extracted from the South Pars gas field.

The South Pars gas field (called North Dome in Qatar) is a joint gas field between Iran and Qatar. The proven reserves of the South Pars Gas Field are estimated at 51 trillion cubic meters of gas, of which 36 trillion are extractable. Iran's share in the field is 14 trillion cubic meters of gas and 18 billion barrels of gas condensate.
