BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 1. Iran’s crude oil
production from the Danan oil field in Ilam Province (western Iran)
increased by 1,000 barrels/day as a result of the overhaul of well
No. 9 of the field, at the end of the 3rd month of the current
Iranian year (May 22 through June 21, 2023), an official of Iran's
West Oil and Gas Production Company (WOGPC), Ahmad Saee said,
Trend reports.
The official noted that the production of the mentioned well No. 9
was suspended due to the emergence of an obstacle inside the well.
The overhaul and further acidulation of the well has virtually
resumed its normal operation.
Saee said that well No. 9 in the Danan oil field was repaired by
the engineers of Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC) and
National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC).
The Danan oil field is in the operating zone of the West Oil and
Gas Production Company (WOGPC), which is one of three subsidiaries
of the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC). Oil extraction
from the Danan oil field, which was discovered in 2007, began in
2014. With the full development of the Danan oil field, production
from this field will double, reaching up to 25,000 barrels/day.
Noteworthy that Iran's West Oil and Gas Production Company has been
operating since 1999 and covers the Kermanshah, Ilam and Lorestan
provinces of Iran. The company can daily produce 165,000 barrels of
crude oil and 7 million cubic meters of gas.
