Consumer tariffs for gas will not be subjected to changes in 2006. The tariffs applying now will remain the same, Alikhan Malikov, the head of Azerigas JSC, said, Trend reports referring to ANS TV channel. At presents the tariff for gas comprises 236 manats per cu m. It grew from 81 manats in November 2004. The representatives of Azerigaz noted that this issue may be reconsidered only after installation of electric meter for all subscribers.
Malikov said that Azerigas did not receive complaints from subscribers in relation to lack of gas. The same time the Company requires timely payment from subscribers. Otherwise Azerigas will limit gas supply or suspend it fully.
