Azerbaijani Finance Ministry auctions off public bonds

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 17. The Baku Stock Exchange held an auction on the placement of public bonds of the Azerbaijani Finance Ministry with a circulation period of 728 days on August 16, Trend reports citing the ministry.

During the auction, 15 investors submitted 24 bids in the price range from 95.587 manat, or $56.23 (6.9 percent) to 98.7236 manat, or $58.07 (5.18 percent).

In accordance with the ministry’s decision, the cut-off price of public bonds was set at 98.1487 manat, or $57.73 (5.49 percent), while the weighted average price – at 98.3618 manat, or $57.86 (5.3748 percent).

The total amount of bids at nominal prices amounted to 66.4 million manat ($39.06 million), whereas the placement volume – 15 million manat ($8.8 million).

The maturity date of the bonds is August 13, 2024.
