BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 27. The total volume of bank card transactions made by foreigners in Azerbaijan grew from January through March 2023, Trend reports citing the country's Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.
According to the center, this figure reached 551.9 million manat ($324.6 million), up by 2.1 million manat ($1.2 billion) or 0.38 percent on annual basis.
In March 2023, foreigners using bank cards made transactions in the amount of 218.1 million manat ($128.29 million) versus 171.5 million manat ($108.8 million) in January, and 162.3 million manat ($95.4 million) in February in Azerbaijan.
The volume of card transactions of foreign citizens in Azerbaijan from January through February 2023 decreased by 14.67 percent to 57.4 million manat ($33.7 million), totaling 333.8 million manat ($196.3 million), compared to the reporting months year on year.
Last year, foreigners using bank cards made transactions worth 2.2 billion manat ($1.2 billion) in the country.
