Demand for Turkish cars surges in Kyrgyzstan

Export of cars from Turkey to Kyrgyzstan surged by 54.08 percent in the first half of 2020 compared to the same period of 2019, having exceeded $5.4 million, Turkey’s Ministry of Trade told Trend.

In June 2020, Turkey exported cars worth $993,000 to Kyrgyzstan, soaring by 87.21 percent compared to the same month of last year.

The export of cars from Turkey to the world markets decreased by 29.5 percent from January through June 2020, compared to the same period of 2019, and amounted to $10.8 billion.

According to the ministry, Turkey’s export of cars for the reporting period made up 14.4 percent of the country's total export.

In June 2020, Turkey exported cars worth over $2 billion to the world markets, which is 7.9 percent more compared to the same month of 2019, the ministry said.

Turkey's export of cars in June 2020 amounted to 15 percent of the country's total export.

Over the past 12 months (from June 2019 through June 2020), Turkey exported the cars worth over $26 billion abroad.
