BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 20. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Amirabad port of the Mazandaran Province (northern Iran) decreased by 10.5 percent in the 12th month of the last Iranian year (February 20 through March 20, 2022), compared to the 11th month (January 21 through February 19, 2022), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO)

According to the statistics, about 188,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port during the reporting month. Of this, 57,900 tons were loaded and about 130,000 tons were unloaded.

In addition, about 50,500 tons of cargo were exported and 121,000 tons were imported through the Amirabad port in the 12th month.

Within the 12th month, 7,300 tons of cargo were loaded and 8,690 tons were unloaded in the port for transit.

According to the statistics, 54 tons of cargo were loaded and 225 tons were unloaded in the port for other purposes during the 12th month.

"About, 109,000 tons of essential products, 10,200 tons of metal products, 49,500 tons of construction and mining materials, 3,080 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Amirabad port in the 12th month of the current Iranian year," the statistics said.

Moreover, 1,640 tons of chemicals, 381 tons of leather products, clothing, fibers, paper and wood materials, 46 tons of small and assorted goods, 320 tons of container products, 13,500 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in the port over the mentioned month.

About 12.2 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 12th month of the last Iranian year. Of this, 6.2 million tons were loaded and 5.98 million tons were unloaded. This is a decrease of 5.3 percent, compared to the same month preceding the Iranian year.
