BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 8. Azerbaijan’s Sara Logistics company for the first time began to transit goods to India, Pakistan and Dubai (UAE), the company’s Business Development Manager Tofig Alikhanov told Trend.

According to Alikhanov, work is underway to increase the flow of goods from China, which will be transported through Azerbaijan to the EU countries.

"In 2021, the transportation of transit goods grew by 70 percent compared to 2020, and this year the growth can reach 100 percent," he said.

The company’s representative noted that at present the company carries out the transit of goods from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Turkiye, and Georgia.

"The goods are mainly transported in containers, refrigerators, railcars and semi-railcars. The transported products also include bulk goods, vegetables and fruits, ceramics, building materials and other goods," added Alikhanov.

Sara Logistics has offices in Georgia and Turkiye (Istanbul and Mersin).
