BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 15. Kazakhstan and Moldova have discussed the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR), or the so-called Middle Corridor, Trend reports via the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.
The issue was discussed at the meeting between Kazakh Ambassador to Moldova Almat Aidarbekov and Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development of Moldova Lilia Dabija. The sides considered the development of logistics within the Middle Corridor.
Moreover, Minister Dabija also spoke about infrastructure projects in which Kazakh companies could participate both in the capital and in the regions of Moldova. At the same time, she invited Kazakhstani investors to participate in projects for the construction of roads and social facilities.
The parties agreed to hold regular meetings and exchange experience in areas of mutual interest.
Meanwhile, the Middle Corridor starts from Southeast Asia and China, runs through Kazakhstan, the Caspian sea, Azerbaijan, Georgia and further to European countries
The total volume of cargo transportation by TITR in 2022 amounted to 1.48 million tons, which is 2.5 times, or 898,000 tons more than in 2021.
