BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 16. Kazakhstan's KazTransOil national oil transporter has supplied 50,000 tons of oil to Germany in April 2023, which is an increase of 150 percent, or 30,000 tons, month-on-month, Trend reports via the company.
Thus, from February through April 2023 Kazakh oil exports to Germany totaled 90,000 tons.
Meanwhile, in December 2022, KazTransOil sent an annual application for transportation of 1.2 million tons of Kazakh oil through the system of trunk oil pipelines of Transneft PJSC in the direction of the 'Adamova Zastava' oil delivery point for further delivery to Germany.
This transit is carried out within the framework of the relevant agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Russian Federation dated June 7, 2002.
KazTransOil confirms that it is technically possible to transport 1.2 million tons of Kazakh oil in the direction of the 'Adamova Zastava' oil delivery point for further delivery to Germany, but the actual volumes of oil transportation depend on the requests of oil companies.
