BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 27. The trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Switzerland in January 2023 increased by almost three times year-on-year - from $215,600 to $644,100, Trend reports with reference to the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
As the statistics said, the value of the exports from Kyrgyzstan to Switzerland totaled $4,900 in January 2023, while there is no data on Kyrgyz exports to Switzerland in the corresponding period of 2022.
The value of Kyrgyz imports from Switzerland made up $639,200, which is almost a threefold increase year-on-year ($215,600 in January 2022).
Meantime, the trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Switzerland reached $10 million from January through December 2022, which is a decrease of 6.5 times over 2021 ($65 million).
The exports from Kyrgyzstan to Switzerland decreased by 122 times year-on-year in 2022 – from $54 million to $447,300.
The imports to Kyrgyzstan from Switzerland amounted to $9 million, decreasing by 1.1 times compared to $10 million in 2021.
In general, Kyrgyzstan's trade turnover amounted to $834.7 million in January 2023, which is an increase of 20 percent compared to $692.5 million in January 2022.
The exports from Kyrgyzstan stood at $125.5 million, increasing by 11 percent compared to $111 million in January 2022. The imports to Kyrgyzstan made up $709 million, which is an increase of 22 percent compared to $581 million in January 2022.
